Computer monitors which support very low frame rates?

Hi,

I get awful eyestrain from conventional monitors, not from e-ink. I also get awful migraines from flashing and from certain common types of animation, such as zooming, smooth scrolling, and so on.

Because the the flash sensitivity, intermediate ranges between 1 frame per second and 60 frames per second can be a problem. And turn signals, hazard lights, ambulance lights, etc. towards the middle of that range can be dangerous. And because of the animation sensitivity, high ranges clearly aren't a solution.

I've been using a Benq flicker-free monitor (conventional), which hasn't helped, and requires some extreme settings to reduce the brightness enough to see the screen.

I've been considering the Boox Mira series (e-ink), but don't know when it'll be available here, and do know it'll be expensive.

In the meantime, I've experimented with Firefox browser settings to reduce the frame rate to 1 frame per second, which sometimes helps. But it's a pain to switch that back and forth as needed.

Does anyone know of a conventional monitor which supports very low refresh rates, going to 1 frame per second or below, and supports very low brightness without pulse-width modulation?
