Doing the registration bypass would not directly cause this. A full factory reset may get it going. Try the instructions on https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...our-Kobo-Touch to do this. If that doesn't work, it is likely the card is failing. Replacing it when using the image is probably a good idea.
