This would be like McDonald's releasing a new burger but then no franchise puts it on their menu! Could anyone imagine that happening?

If B&N can put out a good product like the GL4 in spite of their seeming lack of enthusiasm for it, what could they do if they really cared about the Nook, from the CEO to ground level?

Yes, the GL4 has some quirks and some cons. There are things about it that each of us would like to tweak. Still, I like it. It's a very good reading device and deserves better support from B&N. If the B&N software ever catches up with its hardware, this could become the best six inch eInk device out there. The third party reader apps I have on mine are very responsive in loading books and turning pages. The Nook stock reader could be just as responsive in B&N did their homework.
