When you open calibre's preferences and open Send books to devices, what is selected for Metadata management (the default is Automatic management). In your Kobo Touch driver (whichever one you are using), what do you have the metadata management options set to?

I do have Kobo Touch Extended and Kobo Utilities plugins. I used to have Touch Extended active but I disabled it a while back. Do you think that all books I imported thru Calibre to Kobe ereader while that plugin was active did not get sorted out to series and when I disabled it, it started sorting and putting books in Series tab? Its a good a guess as any.
But back to my original question. Do you think it has any effect on speed of ereader? If not, then its not a problem for me.
