Device: Kobo Touch eReader N905
Kobo Touch eReader N905, unable to wire-connect to PC?

Hello there, I hope you are all doing great this Merry Christmas. I purchased an old-school Kobo Touch eReader N905 around 45 days ago through eBay, and it worked fine up to two weeks ago. Around two weeks ago, suddenly, using the same USB cable on the same pc, I connected it to the PC to charge and upload PDFs for school to the device.

Unfortunately, the PC does not seem to recognize the device is connected, but it does charge. I tried two separate USB cords, and 2 other computers to no avail. I would be less perplexed if the same exact USB cord on the same computer and same port hadn't worked before, which it did.

I called Kobo customer service who walked me through multiple steps (outlining below) and was just wondering if anyone else might know a possible solution? Thank you so much for any and all assistance with this, I am probably just going to have to give up and buy the Kindle, but I'd like to try to fix this relatively new (albeit outdated) device, as it was good enough for me.

I have tried the following:

3 Separate USB cords on 3 Separate computers on multiple ports each.
Uninstalling and Installing my USB drives.
Factory Resetting my device
Restarting my computer several times to try to recognize the device.
Installing the wpdmtp.inf files, again.

Thanks again, hope you are all having a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
