No, this isn't using any power. E-ink screens only use power when they are being updated. After that, they just retain whatever was last written on them until the next update. It is one of the reasons they are so good for a low-powered device such as an ereader.
But, displaying the FNAC logo can be turned off. FNAC is an affiliate of Kobo and when the affiliate on the device is set to FNAC, some options, including the screensaver options, are not available. If you want to change this, edit the file "affiliate.conf" and change the value of the affiliate to "Kobo". After that, the screensaver options will be avialable.
