my advice to (all) those who might be thinking of buying any new ereader based on positive subjective reviews or put off by negative subjective reviews they read on here is to try one for (yourself) it's the only way you will know for sure if it suits (your) needs

It's the opinion of most people here who have/had both. But then most of us read with the frontlight on.
Trying one in real world may not be feasible for a lot of people who have to buy an ereader from a foreign country, because it's not available locally.
