I tried with a new .acsm file (realized the old one had been opened in ADE already) and that got turned into an .epub but I can't do anything with the file. Can't open it, can't convert, it's like a dead stone.

This log seems to be from a conversion attempt, and it looks like the DRM removal failed. Though, with an error that I haven't seen before, so it's possible that the book is corrupted somehow and my plugin didn't work correctly. Unfortunately that is hard to tell without having the book, and sharing it would not be legal.
Where's the book from? Which shop did you buy it at, and what book is that? Or does this happen with multiple books from one shop?
Do the free books from Adobe's sample library (linked in the 1st post) work?
Can you create a new logfile while importing the ACSM file? You should be able to re-use the same one you already imported into Calibre before. Also, please enable the "Enable verbose debug logging" option in the plugin settings before you do that; and if possible send the log to me in a private message and not in this public thread.
