I'm thinking that ownedbycats is male or identifies as male. Women are more likely to use the more evocative "rose" color. Years ago I was getting Land's End clothing catalogs and I was amused at how a shirt in the men's section would be "light green" but in the women's it would be something like celery or sea foam.
