Is there way to spell check just selected files?

Running spell check on a book with several files (index.xhtml, bibilo.xhtml, notes.xhtml, photocreds.xhtml for example) which have LOTS of acceptable abbreviations, names, etc. but spell check flagged most of them anyway.

If I could somehow spell check just the 'real' files, that would greatly decrease the number of false positives that I still need to look at to be sure
