I'm aware of UMS but I don't plan to use it. Installed apps and their data go into the bigger storage pot, as do anything purchased from B&N. I only brought it up because it could be confusing for people who expect 32GB and get ~5 for sideloaded stuff!
I installed the CPU-Z app (root not required) and see that the Nook has a Cortex Allwinner A23 CPU with 2 GB RAM. Oddly, the app reads screen density as 258 dpi even though it's supposed to be 300.
