It depends how you access the storage, it seems. If you connect this Nook to a computer, a window pops up asking if you want to turn on USB mode. When you do, you'll find a Nook drive on your computer that, according to properties, is a little over 5GB. I get the same result on Mac, Windows and Linux. If you check storage out in the Nook's settings, you get the full amount listed. Looks like an effort to keep user sideloaded content in a sandbox of its own!
