One way it can happen is if the C: file system is corrupt, causing cruft to be written in various places. It is a good idea to check the C: file system. Right click on the C drive, pick Properties / Tools / Error checking.
Hi Chaley, I did uninstall my calibre program and reinstalled it. I have stayed with 5.32 for now as I know that works fine with all my pc's. I'm not one to update religiously anyway, I just needed to as I bought a Kobo Libra 2.
