This annoyed me a great deal as well. Sometimes I'm 20 -50+ pages into my library when I want to go back to the beginning.
I have developed 2 work-arounds.
1) Hit the Home button rather than Library. Then hit on the Your Library button in the middle of the screen and not the Library button at the bottom. You should then be at the top.
2) from any Library page, change your sort to something else and then change it back to whatever your sort previously was. You'll then be at the top.
Both are stupid and we shouldn't have to do it, thanks again Amazon...
