If you buy from outside the UK, you get whacked with import duty. That could make the price higher and it could take longer to get the package. Sometimes you get sent a letter about the import duty and that means you have to wait for the letter and then pay before the package will go from where it is to you.

Overall, the UK makes ordering outside of the UK a real bother and now with Brexit, ordering from the EU also incurs import duty.
