Yes, you can deDRM KU books to read on the Kobo. I wish there was a way to *not* do it. Sometimes, my KU borrows get swept up in the batch when I backup my purchased Kindle ebooks.
As others have pointed out, this robs the authors of income since they’re only paid by pages read. If you absolutely prefer the Kobo reading experience (and why wouldn’t you!! 😄

, you could keep your Kindle at your side and thumb through the pages as you read on your Kobo. Sounds like a pain, but it would let you reward the authors while you rewarded yourself with a pleasant reading experience.
