Try DHS Shampoo. Hypoallergenic, unscented, reasonably mild, and does the job. I totally get topical allergies. Ever since I got a really bad solvent burn when I was working at NUMMI on a broken conveyor in the main truck painting booth, I've been highly sensitized to any sort of skin irritant. (Laundry has to ALWAY get extra rinse, for example.)
