Upper one is nice and clicky, but bottom one is mushy and squeaks if pressed from angle.
Inner sides of both buttons of mine are mushy whereas outer sides are clicky. I don't mind it but buttons are not sturdy - they move 0.5-1 mm to all sides. I can describe it "shaky".

And the bottom plate is not sturdy either. When I touch almost all points, it flexes and makes noises. I returned it and got a new one but it is the same. Actually a little bit worse. I put a sleepcover (which is very pleasant to use) but it did not eliminate the issue completely. I now hear the sleepcover's little noises

I try to live with it because I love the screen... Damn that screen... The light is well balanced and the text is perfectly black. Very high contrast! Plus, I migrate to koreader and it blows my mind. Beside being so easy, customisable, pdf-friendly and fast, it also has much much better kerning (which I am obsessed about).

Anyway, overall build quality (back plate, buttons, etc.) is not so good (not bad either). I think Kobo made all its investments to the screen. Obsessions about clicks, flexes leave our mind throughout the time but the screen/display quality is the best of all worlds for me.
