Nordhoff, Charles Bernard: The Pearl Lagoon (1924); v1; 2 Dec 2021

Early novel by Charles Nordhoff, who collaborated for many years with Normal Hall, notably on "The Bounty" trilogy. However, he also wrote a number of solo novels.

Nordhoff (1887-1947) was a pilot with the Lafayette Corps and the US Air Service in WW1, later met Hall, and both had a deep love for the South Pacific.

This novel, for a younger readership, follows the adventures of a young man from California who voyages to the south seas with his uncle in search of pearls.
