Technically, this is the fourth generation of Eink Nooks.

So, as far as Netronix is concened, this could be considered the second generation. Some (all?) Kobo models have also been made by Netronix. They share the same ntx_hwconfig system and board numbering scheme used in the B&N Netronix models.
