I asked about the update over at Ectaco's forum and this is the reply I got:
Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, we are going to release an update with the new format support for jetBook in the near future.
As soon as it becomes available, we will publish it and notify all jetBook users.

So I guess that's that. It was nice anticipating the update and being able to read more formats on my Jetbook. Hopefully we won't have to wait long.
