Started watching 'The Beatles: Get Back' , the footage from the 'Let it Be' sessions that has been buried for fifty years, and now restored in three two hour chunks by Peter Jackson.
I am a massive Beatles fan, but as I expected, this is disappointing stuff. Mainly poor quality shots of the band just sitting around squabbling and bickering. It may be an 'historical artifact' of a kind, but even as a fan, I found it invredibly dull and boring!
The 'restoration' had caused waves online too; clean, bright images, but they cannot disguise the fact that here were a band of musicians, who were largely at odds with each other,as internal and external pressures drove them apart.
