I've mentioned before that I really like Ruth Downie's Gaius Petreius Ruso/Tilla series, set in Roman Britain (and around the Roman empire of the time). I'm especially fond of Tilla's character, even though she doesn't get top billing. Now all eight of the books in the series are on sale in an omnibus. The titles are:
  • Medicus (apa Ruso and the Disappearing Dancing Girls)
  • Terra Incognita (apa Ruso and the Demented Doctor)
  • Persona Non Grata (apa Ruso and the Root of All Evils)
  • Caveat Emptor (apa Ruso and the River of Darkness)
  • Simper Fidelis
  • Tabula Rasa
  • Vita Brevis
  • Memento Mori
The only missing title is a novella, Prima Facie.

The omnibus is $3.99 at Kindle and Kobo US, but it's also discountable at Kobo, so if you use the "partners" discount code, you get 40% off. And that is stackable with your Kobo VIP discount, if you belong to their VIP program, so I'm seeing it at $2.15 for all eight books right now. That's cheap enough to buy it even if you only need one more, much less if you need more...

Quote:
In the New York Times bestselling Medicus series, Roman occupied Britannia is beset by crime, and army doctor Gaius Petreius Ruso is determined to catch the killers and restore order to the empire. With a gift for comic timing and historic detail, Ruth Downie has conjured an ancient world as raucous and real as our own and a hero readers will root for through every adventure.
