Weird...are you saying yours would previously keep updating the number all along? Don't know if it was just that there are always jumps in what percentage it thinks the battery is at, but I definitely never found it updated very often at all. I swear my glo would only update the percent charged a couple of times while charging after it had gone into sleep mode (ie when I hadn't kept it awake by reading) and I think the main difference I noticed with the KA1 was that the charging light would change colours depending on the level charged. It never bothered me too much, I would just check periodically for it to say 100% charged and kinda ignore any of the stages before that, unless I needed to take it off charge before then. But the few times when I wanted a full charge and was waiting until I could unplug it, I felt it updated the charged percentage very infrequently.
