Well i find it curious that no personal info is retained as to the user (that is, the person who decrypted the ebook)
That seems to lessen the idea of the attribution of drm removal, it's still anonymous whether the apprentices tools are used or the new person's tools are used.
I appreciate the arguments given in posts upthread re the maintenance of what appear to be water markings etc, but the fact that piracy continues irrespective of such markings hasn't been a sufficient deterrent. (Perhaps a moral deterrent)
I also appreciate that some here have contributed enormously to assisting others with using the tools (and writing some of the tools), and appreciate that their concerns are very personal indeed.
However, as the de drm process is relatively anonymous now anyway, any deterrent factor hasn't been too seriously damaged it seems.
