It's a good point though, how to get extended use out of old ereaders (and I've got maybe 5 old ereaders, (lol)

You're certainly right about that. My thought was, I could stick some magnets to the back and put it on the fridge and it could be like a little --- something. It's too old and pointless be be anything truly interactive, but something glanceable... perhaps.
If I could work out how to turn off the sleep mode, then could just load a pdf onto it, or something easy.
