I had a review copy of this book, and loved it - especially the character of Queen Marie of Roumania, who was in real life (and in the book!) a granddaughter of Queen Victoria’s on her father’s side, and a granddaughter of Emperor Alexander II of Russia through her mother, and who managed by her astute politicking at the end of WWI to keep Roumania independent, and even increase its size. (And there's a good mystery too...  .)
