Have installed the image on a new 4GB card. Installed it and booted. Refused to complete the update. Removed card and copied the update files directly. It booted correctly and updated itself.
Booted. and tried directly copying a book to it. Worked.
Tried copying 5 other books using ADE. Worked.
Tried copying 5 other books using Calibre. Failed and computer crashed.
Reinstalled Calibre. Same same.
I don't use Calibre much except to convert files, so I can live with that. Thank you very much for your assistance.
