i have a friend who makes it ; when we are cooking together i'm the one with the fork for beating it. it's nothing at all like anything you can buy in a bottle. she makes it for instance sometimes for artichauts which we eat as a salad (she calls them "artifroids" because they're cold
) and although normally i prefer vinaigrette (also made at home !) if she is making the mayonnaise i'll happily dip my leaves in there !
