UPDATE: Okay, now I seem to be in serious trouble!
I tried following the instructions in that link, and I did indeed manage to add a "Collections" column in Calibre. But then, after the next time I plugged in the device, all of the collections info. on the device was replaced with series information, and the collections I'd meticulously put together were COMPLETELY ERASED
