disable demo mode

Hi,
I've got a Kindle that appears to be stuck in demo mode. You can't access any of the menus, it just displays about 6 demo screens. Clicking anywhere scrolls into the next screen. I think it's an 8th gen Kindle touch. It has model no: SY69JL on the back. Because I can't access any of the menus, I can't find the serial number (didn't seem to have it on the back).

So the question is, how do I get it out of demo mode?
Thanks,
Luke
