Device: Kobo Libra 2
I'm new to these forums but have been reading and admiring this supportive community on and off for the past few years.

I have had my white Libra 2 with a red sleep cover for just over a week.

My previous Kobo was a Libra H20 and prior to that I used a Clara HD. I still have these devices and they are used by other family members.

I thought I'd paste a few thoughts below about my early experience with the Libra 2 and feel free to ask any questions:

- The upgraded screen (Carta 1200) was the main reason I chose to upgrade. I have ongoing vision issues that slow me down with my reading, so any advantage helps. The screen is definitely noticeably better than the Libra H20 with better contrast, even lighting, and a much better Dark Mode. I use the Dark Mode a lot at night, so this alone makes the upgrade worth it for me. If you have young eyes and your vision is great, then the upgrade from the Libra H20 is probably not worth it. My wife commented that the quality of the screens in order from best to worst was Libra 2, then the Clara HD and then the Libra H20. This could just be my devices.

- The Libra 2 is about 10% heavier than the Libra H20. This is a shame, however I can live with it.

- The battery life has been good so far. I use the light at a higher setting than some others (usually between 30-80% depending on whether I'm inside or outside). I also use a larger font than others might use with decent line spacing.

- The USB C cable is nice and the device charges very quickly up to 80%. It slows down from 80-90% and charges quite slowly from 90%. I think if you ran out of battery and charged the device for half an hour your results would be pretty good.

- I like the button position and find the ergonomics of the device, notwithstanding the extra weight, good. The buttons feel good to press if pressed in the middle of the button, and my thumb sits near the button naturally while reading.

- I installed Kobopatch and it is working well. I particularly like making both buttons go forwards as I change my hand position at various reading times.

- I haven't used the Bluetooth feature and doubt whether I will ever listen to books on the devices. This seeks like a redundant feature to me as phones perform this task more efficiently.

- This the is the first white ereader I have owned and I love the look of it! I have owned black Kindles and Kobos for over 10 years, and it's so refreshing to have a different colour. The white Libra 2 complemented really well with the red sleep cover.
