Don't get me wrong, but that consensus is between you and one person posting that he bought a membership.
I can understand why SO would implement that change, but there were obviously other methods to achieve what they argue (reduce automated downloads).
From the (moral) plugin standpoint I don't see the big difference to before, where you had to "click" for the next part of the chapter with very long postings.
I respect if you are not adapting the plugin to the latest hurdle. I just wanted to state that for folks without a membership to the site the plugin is rendered useless with this change. I suggest you at least put in some kind of warning, because a user only finds out, when he reads the 'click for more' in the output ebook, because the behavior is otherwise normal.
Thanks for the hard work you put in it, really appreciate it for ALL supported sites, which there are a lot!
