Basically, you can either use an earlier version of K4PC or you use a batch file to launch K4PC which disables downloading KFX files. If you check in the stickied Dealing with Kindle for PC/Mac 1.19 and KFX in calibre and look around message #1265, you'll find a copy of that batch file.

On my system, that batch file has been tested to work with K4PC up to v1.33.0.
