This was discussed a page or two back. If you have a paid account on storiesonline.net you don't see that.

Right now the consensus is that that is the correct solution.

By default, when updating an epub, FFF keeps the existing chapter texts (in case you edited them), but does update chapter titles if changed.

To deliberately update chapter(s), either manually delete the existing chapter(s) using Calibre's builtin Edit Book, or use FFF's Overwrite Always mode instead of update for all chapters.

Look at the FFF config Standard Columns tab to check columns you don't want FFF to update.
