The driver has multiple options beyond the list of collections shelves. They need to be adjusted as you desire. But, the "Create collections" usually needs to be set. And for your columns, "myshelves" would have to be a custom column. If so, it should be "#myshelves" or whatever the lookup name is.

The other option to ensure is set is "Metadata management" on the "Sending books to devices" page of the preferences. I usually suggest it is set to "Automatic management". That will let the collection management and metadata updating run at each connection. The others should only work when books are sent.

Other than that, is there a reason you won't post a debug log? I can clear this up in a minute or so. Or see if there is a non-configuration related problem.
