Well, I've seen the remake of
The Fly, and I thought it was great - and gory, but with a lot of pathos.
It's possible I've seen something else by him, but I can't remember.
By the way, is
Crash based upon the
J.G. Ballard novel of the same name? (That's an author I very much admire.)
