I guess the advantage is not having to load new books onto your device ever. You can carry your library with you and decide what book you want to read before you search it out on your device.
I have over 1200 on my Forma, all fan fiction, sideloaded via Calibre. They are in collections, every genre has a read and unread collection. These are ebooks I create myself from word documents. Fan Fiction can disappear as things get taken down so I am always creating ebooks. I never know what I feel like reading so it’s nice to have everything in Calibre and on my e-reader.
