After reading this thread I have decided to purchase the extended warranty for my K2. I too treat it more like a paperback, trips to the beach, days at the park, plus I tend to be a little clumsy and occasionally drop things. Also young grandchildren who like to explore. So 5 days before my 30 day decision point I bought. Hopefully I will never need it but for $32.50 a year it is worth it to me.
