Just drove the truck, one and a half years old, not a scratch on it, out of the underground parking at our complex, when the automatic door comes crashing down on the roof. Like RM we got hit from above, not by hailstones, but by a big metal garage door.

4 days in the shop. $300.00 deductible, everyone in the complex is pished at *us* because be broke the door and no one can enter or leave until the repair guys get here to fix the dang thing, including I hope, the sensors that are supposed to stop this from happening.

Your condo association should have insurance to cover things like that. If the sensor failed and the door came down on your truck, that is not something you did ... it was done to you.

File a claim with the insurance company that covers the condo buildings and other structures for property damage. You should be able to get the contact information and policy number from your condo board.
