More Kobo storage experiment

Just a test . . . :-)

I have an old Kobo AuraOne that I'm no longer using . . . so as a test I thought I'd try swapping the SD card.
  • Pop the cover off
  • Remove the 4Gb SD card
  • Clone it on my Linux box (using "dd") to a 64Gb card
  • Resize the "KOBOReader" partition to use all the available space (now 59GB)
  • Upload my entire book collection :-)

There are actually 3 partitions on the card, "rootfs", "recoverfs", and "KOBOReader".

At this point it seems to run completely normally. But I'm reluctant to do this with my new Libra on the theory that it won't be watertight when I'm done.

This was prompted by the announcement of the new Libra approximately 24 hours after I got mine :-(

Is this old news? Any comments?

Thanks!

Dan
