I hope someone can help a newbie. I have a number of authors who have punctuation in the author name eg

J.F. Smith
or
J. F. Smith

and then of course the same author with

JF Smith
or
J F Smith

Is there a simple way to search through a list of authors and convert all so there is no punctuation, and a space between each initial so all appear as

J F Smith

I tried searching the forum but did not find anything - probably searching for the wrong thing.
