When I open Calibre it starts with sorted authors and I just browse.
I forgot how I did this. Too long ago.
The Quickview was new to me, very useful.

Next time, click once on an Author, the type 'Q" (Quick view). That shows all the same for the field chosen. (Also works for Series, and others). This does NOT launch a normal Search.
Another find 'gotcha' is any spelling differences
