I think software is a very personal thing. Kindle software works far better for me. I have vision problems. I have a collection for each author. I sideload all books with calibre so I can have the titles displayed in a way I can read them. Series - Series Number - Book Title. Everything is set to display as text no covers and in alphabetical order. Display text even adjusted to the large font is difficult to read at times. Reading a cover would be a nightmare. Once reading a book the correct font makes reading a dream.
I never use the buttons on my Oasis, or on any previous Kindle either. I tap the screen with my thumb to change pages. It is pretty much muscle memory now. Nor do I use a book-like cover. I have a very cute decal skin and a zip-up bag to pop it and my glasses in when not using. Another one of my quirks.
I will always miss the smell of dead trees, but a small price to pay to have the ability to read again.
