I forgot about Tolino. You're right, it does work, I just tested it on two eReaders and with the Android App on my Pixel 2. All synced well with a book I uploaded. The only glitch is that you have to be in one of about 10 countries to register with Tolino. I think I used Tolino's street address to register (since I didn't know any other addresses in Germany). There's also the issue of not being able to login to your Cloud via a browser unless you have a VPN Proxy something or other. I had one that worked but just today Firefox disabled it for "security reasons." It figures, I hadn't used it for over 2 years — it was working yesterday because it was bugging me to upgrade. At any rate, yes Tolino Cloud does work in the U.S. but (technically) you're supposed to be in one its supported countries and you have to use a "workaround" to register for it.

PocketBook, on the other hand, doesn't have this limitation.
