I don't think they have as many book titles as Amazon, but, if the book is on sale with one of the big publishers, Amazon and Kobo (along with eBooks.com and Barnes & Noble and, I guess, Google, though I never go there anymore) will probably also have it on sale for the same price. The selection for old, reprinted (self-published) history and religious books is much more extensive with Amazon — and the selection of self-published books in general seem to be wider with Amazon. So I guess it depends on what books you're looking for.

The way I usually do it is, if I see a book I'm interested on sale at Amazon, I'll go to see if it's also on sale at eBooks.com or Kobo (or even at Barnes & Noble). If it is I'll buy it somewhere other than Amazon. I do still end up buying books from Amazon though, because some are just not available anywhere else.
