Did you miss the part where mezzanine said that he/she enjoyed audiobooks? Or the part where I said my views apply personally to me? Why did you take what we wrote as an attack on audiobooks? And where did anyone say audiobooks were "not real?" What I said is that they're different. For me it was just a sentiment, mezzanine actually mentioned some authorities on the subject.

When I was a kid, every night our father would have us (my two brothers and me) gather around and read aloud together. If we had more than one copy of the book we would follow along while someone else was reading. Reading was an integral part of our lives. And, for me, there is definitely a difference between reading and listening. Note the emphasis on "for me." There is no intent here to denigrate audiobooks or to make decisions for anyone else.
