The 1200 comes from the screen which is Eink's latest rendition of their Carta screens. To quote from Eink's site:

I would expect the display to have the on cell touch and, for the Sage, the digitizer layer under the display so you will be looking through fewer layers which should maximize contrast and sharpness.
