Given how much Kobo charges for its covers versus 3rd party covers, I'm more inclined to think they're imitating Apple's historically very successful marketing philosophy of selling as many separate accessories as possible, each with its own eye-watering markup. Why include a $5 stylus for an extra $15 in the "package" price when you can sell it as a 'must-have' add on for $50?
