I was bulk-adding some font settings in advance (I found it the best way to prevent weird font settings carrying over from other books) and I know there were a few PDFs mixed in to those. The numbers matched up so it didn't just skip over those. But the font setting doesn't have any effect on PDF files.
The font setting should be ignored for PDF. PDF are displayed as the creator intended. Kobo doesn't change anything. The database does have a zoom setting and it was saved in the past, but, it does not appear to be now.
